Einat Amir

 

Born 1979 in Jerusalem, Israel

 

Amir lives and works in New York where she received her MFA in visual arts from Columbia University in 2009. Her video installations and live performances engage gender, sexuality, representation, communication, and other contemporary sociopolitical issues. Amir's work was most recently featured at P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, New York as part of 100 Years (version #2, ps1, nov 2009), and Performa09's Lust Weekend, New York. Her work has also been exhibited at the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art and the Haifa Museum of Art, Israel, among other venues.

 

 

Arlen Austin

 

Born 1981 in Maine, USA

 

Austin lives and works in New York where he received his MFA from Columbia University in 2008.  A multifaceted artist and ingenious bricoleur, his work encompasses colorful pop drawings, baroque videos, unclassifiable pieces of furniture, and bizarre installations often identified with unlikely, revealing names. He is a founding member of Die Störung, an artist collective that includes Austin, Jason Boughton and Keil Borrman, among others.
